Board size

Print it blank, let everyone write their name in squares, then draw the numbers together. Or fill the squares first, press Draw random numbers here to fill the number boxes fairly, and print the finished sheet. Set the printer to landscape, one page.

How to use your printable squares sheet

  1. Set it up. Add the title, the two teams and, if you play for money, the price per square. The pot and the prizes are worked out for you.
  2. Print it. Press Print this sheet and choose landscape. Pass it around for everyone to write their name in the squares they want.
  3. Draw the numbers. Once the squares are full, press Draw random numbers and print the finished sheet, or write the drawn digits into the boxes by hand.
  4. Watch the game. After each quarter, find the last digit of each score on the side and the top. The square where they meet wins that result.

Common questions

Is the printable football squares sheet free?

Yes. It is free to use and print as many times as you like, with no sign-up. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.

How do I randomize the numbers on a printed squares sheet?

Fill in the squares first, then press Draw random numbers on this page. It shuffles the digits 0 to 9 for the rows and again for the columns using your browser's secure random generator, and fills the number boxes. Then print the finished sheet. You can also print it blank and draw the numbers by hand later, for example from a hat.

What size is the grid?

You can print a standard 100-square sheet (10 by 10) or a smaller 25-square sheet (5 by 5) for a small group. On the 5 by 5 sheet each row and column covers a pair of digits, such as 0 and 5.

How do I find the winner on the sheet?

At the end of each quarter, take the last digit of each team's score. Find that digit on the side and on the top, and the square where they meet wins. Overtime counts in the final result.
