Every playoff game is a reason to get the group together. Make a free squares board for any Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship or Super Bowl game.

Playoff games appear here when they are set

Once the matchups are on the schedule they are listed on this page, each with a button to make a board. Until then, see this week's NFL games or make a board and choose the teams.

The four playoff rounds

  • Wild Card. Six games over the first weekend. Lots of games make it a good time to run several small boards, such as 25-square boards.
  • Divisional round. Four games, usually the best viewing of the postseason.
  • Conference championships. Two games on the same day. The winners go to the Super Bowl.
  • Super Bowl. One game, and the one most people want a board for.

Running a pool through the playoffs

Make one board per game, and use the same group every time. After a board's numbers are drawn, the host panel has a Run it again button. It sets up the next board with the same title, size and price, suggests the next game, and points everyone from the old board to the new one. You can start fresh or keep everyone's squares. The numbers are drawn fresh for every game.

With live scoring on an NFL board, the score and each quarter's winner fill in by themselves, which is a relief when you are hosting through a full Saturday of games. Prefer paper? Print a free squares sheet for each game.

Common questions

How many games are in the NFL playoffs?

There are 13 games: 6 Wild Card games, 4 Divisional games, 2 conference championship games and the Super Bowl. Each one can have its own squares board.

Should I run one squares pool for the whole playoffs or one per game?

One board is for one game, so run a board per game. That keeps every game exciting, because the numbers are drawn fresh each time. You can reuse the same group: Run it again copies a board's title, size and price, and can keep everyone's squares.

Do the same squares and players carry over to the next round?

They can. When you run a board again you choose between starting fresh, where last time's players show as a checklist, or keeping everyone's squares. The numbers are always drawn fresh for the new game.

Does live scoring work for playoff games?

Yes, for NFL games, including the playoffs. Live scoring is $1.99 per board, or included with SquaresBets Pro, and fills in the score, each quarter's winner and the final by itself.
