About SquaresBets
A simple way to run football squares: no accounts, no ads, and live scoring so you can watch the game.
Why I built it
I love a good squares pool. What I didn't love was everything that came with running one. Most sites want you to make an account, hand over an email address, and put up with the marketing that follows. I didn't want to be marketed and advertised to, and I didn't think my friends should have to be either.
Then there was the work. The best part of game day is watching the game, not fussing with boards. Once I had a few going, I didn't want to spend the afternoon typing in scores by hand. Live scoring, where the score and each quarter's winner fill in on their own, seemed like the way it should work. It turned out to be hard to find.
I also wanted one place to keep track of all my boards, and I couldn't find a site that offered unlimited boards with no login or account. So I built SquaresBets.
What it comes down to
- No accounts. Hosts get a private link to manage their board. Players just tap their squares and type a name.
- Your privacy. No ads, no advertising trackers, and we don't sell your information. Read the privacy policy for the details.
- Live scoring. The score, every quarter's winner and the final fill in by themselves, so the host can enjoy the game too.
- Free to start. Run a pool for free. Add live scoring to a board for $1.99, or go Pro for unlimited boards, your own page and a TV view for the big screen.
- Built for any crowd. Friends, offices, churches, leagues and bars all run squares the same way.
Just for fun
SquaresBets is a tool for organizing friendly squares pools. We don't run or host any wagering, and we never hold or move anyone's money. Hosts handle that themselves, and everyone should follow the laws that apply to them.
